Oxford Technologies Celebrates Record Year

Oxford Technologies is celebrating record-breaking results for the last financial year.

With both revenue and profit rising substantially, the company has been able to invest £650k in facilities and capital equipment during 2014/15, including establishing its new Assembly Integration and Test building in an additional facility in Abingdon.

This level of business success has also resulted in a significant recruitment drive, with 8 new technical staff joining the company and with more new graduate engineering vacancies coming on-stream shortly, the number of employees is expected to exceed 50 within the next few months.

During the last year the company has not only achieved major successes in the UK, for example winning the seven-year Engineering Support Framework to develop the Shaft and Silo mechanical and remote handling systems at Dounreay, but has also consolidated its reach overseas, through participation in the F4E RH Framework in Spain, the MYRRHA project in Belgium and the supply of RH, Machine Assembly and Diagnostic engineering services to ITER, France.

MD, Dr. Alan Rolfe, commented; “Our achievements over the last twelve months are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Oxford Technologies, and prove that UK engineering SMEs can compete successfully in one of the world’s most technically challenging, competitive environments.”
