REMOTE HANDLING CUTTING & WELDING TOOLS

We offer a range of compact remote handling compatible tools for cutting and welding pipes, ultra high vacuum (UHV) joints and structural joints in difficult and cramped locations.

Vacuum Lip Seals
A pair of remotely controlled tools for cutting and welding UHV quality lip seals formed with two edge welded 2mm thick plates. The tools use a powered trolley that clamps to the vacuum seal lips and carries the welding or cutting head along the lip. The trolley supports its own weight so that it can work in any attitude and can accommodate corners of 60mm minimum radius. The standard units are provided with a TIG welding torch or a punch assembly capable of cutting Stainless Steels and Inconel.

Pipes & Tubes
A range of remotely controlled Orbital welders, Orbital cutters, Bore welders, Bore cutters and Slitting saws for welding and cutting pipes of sizes 10mm to 200mm dia.

Feedthroughs and Penetrations
A range of remotely controlled Cutters, Expanders, Pullers and Welding tools for removal and replacement of circular port feedthoughs in UHV and similar applications.

Structural welding
Deployed by Dexter or other suitable remote manipulators the MIG weld tool system designed by Oxford Technologies will allow the user to perform high quality structural welding in remote applications. We recommend use of our tooling with the patented Fronius [...more] spatter free MIG digital power source to provide a high quality clean welding process.
