DEXTER
Dexter is a high performance, force
reflecting, advanced servo-manipulator system available in single
or dual arm configurations for use in remote handling applications.
It is operated in a Master-Slave configuration
with Master and Slave units up to 2km apart.A viewing camera and
remote handling tools services connector are integrated into the
shoulder.
Dexter provides simple operation, high
reliability, excellent functionality and exceptional performance
for use in man-in-the-loop remote operations environments.
Dexter provides unrivalled smoothness
and sensitivity giving it the capability to be used for a wide range
of remote tasks.
Dexter will operate in radiation environments
up to a total dose exposure of 1MGy and incorporates a range of
features to facilitate its recovery after failure in a hostile environment.
Dexter has been developed and proven
by Oxford Technologies staff as a key part of our responsibilities
to provide the remote maintenance service to the JET Nuclear Fusion
