Oxford Technologies hosts NIA Central England Branch tour of its Abingdon Integration and Test Facility and a presentation on current developments in Remote Handling technology.

OTL was delighted to welcome 46 members and guests of the NIA Central England Branch to its Abingdon HQ on 30th June for a site tour and presentation by Engineering Manager, Simon Delavalle.

Simon Delavalle’s presentation: “Dextrous Remote Handling for the Nuclear Industry” offered guests an introduction to the background and activities of Oxford Technologies, as well as covering topics including the company’s unique Remote Handling philosophy (in particular looking at the development of “Dexter”, OTL’s highly programmable Manipulator), the legacy of the nuclear fusion experiments and the potential for Remote Handling in nuclear decommissioning, high energy physics and other industries.
