The specification and development of control systems for remote handling equipment require the integration of skills in real-time and non real-time software together with low level and high level supervisory hardware.
Oxford Technologies staff have supplied software at all levels including the control for individual motor/actuators, high level co-ordination of multiple axes and Human-Machine Interfaces.
Remote handling control systems involve the application of controller hardware which itself can be designed as an integration of off-the-shelf modules or an optimized bespoke system or a combination of the two.
Whilst our control systems must perform and function to requirements they must also address the safety and recovery from failure issues peculiar to the Remote Handling application.
